What Can We Learn From the Wisdom of Animals?
The funny thing about this online business, we spontaneously think about what we are going to blog or create a video about in the moment. Often one of you is an inspiration, maybe it’s an interaction we had with our family, our friends or a stranger. Whatever it is, we’ll let you in on a little secret, we go with the flow and trust the right inspiration will present itself.
Today’s video was inspired by a News Flare video we received from a friend that showed the unwavering determination of and collaboration between animals. This prompted us to research lessons we, as humans can learn from animals …. and there are many! Here is a list of five that spoke to us.
1) Trust your instincts
Some people call it listening to your gut, others refer to it as that little voice in our head. Whatever you call it, there is definitely something that whispers the best action to take in most situations. The question is - how often do we pay attention to signals, circumstances or to the the people and signs around us? Animals rely solely on their instincts, animals trust their instincts.
Animal Wisdom:
Give your brain a rest. Instead of analyzing a situation from every angle listen to what your instincts are telling you and act accordingly.
2) Strive to reach your goals, persevere and work together
Whether you have a big deadline looming or you’re looking to take the leap into the unknown to start your online business, any goal worth striving for can be daunting at first.
A little inspiration from fish ... salmon swim thousands of miles upstream just to make it back to their birthplace so that they can spawn their next generation. living in British Columbia, Canada, we have seen these courageous salmon at their destination. One look at these bruised and banged up travellers tells you the journey wasn't an easy one.
Animal Wisdom:
Turn your intentions into action. Reach out to others for help and support along the way.
3) Follow your own path in life
Horses can live pretty independently, and will stray from the herd when they have the desire to explore on their own. Horses have a stubborn side that takes them into uncharted territory and allows them to chart their own path.
Animal Wisdom:
Sometimes it’s okay to let your heart be the voice that takes you where you need to go.
4) Make time for rest and fun
Humans tend to work way too much, and rest and have fun way too little. Other species don’t overwork themselves; they enjoy every moment of down time they get to re-energize and relish in play.
Animal Wisdom:
Give yourself permission to relax and have fun.
5) Love unconditionally
When people think of animals showing unconditional love, dogs usually come to mind. These loving animals don’t withhold support and understanding because of some other agenda. Even when we get angry at canine friends they are still there for us unconditionally
Dogs are called “man’s best friend” for a reason, because of their loyalty, faithfulness, and respect for others . Did you realize Dog is God spelled backwards?
Animal Wisdom:
We can learn a lot about how to treat one another from our furry four legged friends.
We believe when the student is ready the teacher appears and the teacher can take on many forms. One of the greatest gifts our online business has given us is a reason to open our eyes and see the world differently. We hope the same for you .
